Forest Lodge is thrilled to be a finalist in the 2021 Sustainable Business Awards in the Climate Action Leader category.
Globally, food production has a significant carbon footprint, and New Zealand has pledged to become the most sustainable food producers in the world. We believe in this lofty aspiration, and that removing fossil fuels from food production is an important and immediate step agriculture and horticulture operations can take to achieve this goal.
The Climate Action Leader Award is sponsored by EECA, who have worked closely with our electric frost fighting fans and NZ's first electric tractor (due in early 2021).
We'd like to thank the judges for giving us the opportunity to showcase our decarbonisation and electrification efforts. It's exciting to be part of a programme with such high calibre finalists.
