Tractor on tour - Field Days 2024
Forest Lodge Orchard's Electric Journey to Fieldays 2024
What an incredible experience we had at Fieldays 2024 in Hamilton! We were beyond excited to bring our fully electric Monarch Tractor—courtesy of ASB Bank—to the North Island for its debut at Fieldays. This was a huge milestone for us at Forest Lodge Orchard and a fantastic opportunity to showcase our commitment to the future of electric farming in New Zealand.
Fieldays, the largest agricultural event in the Southern Hemisphere, was the perfect platform for us to connect with the wider NZ farming community and spread the word about the benefits of electrification in farming. The reception was amazing! We had the chance to talk with so many passionate people about the Monarch Tractor, and how it has been a game-changer for our zero-carbon cherry orchard in Central Otago.
Throughout the event, we had some fantastic conversations with everyone from fellow farmers to MPs. We were thrilled to see ex-Agriculture Minister Damien O’Connor stop by for a chat and an interview at our ASB stand, and to also meet with MPs like Tim van de Molen, Joseph Mooney, and Todd McClay, who showed great interest in what we’re doing with electric farming. It’s clear that the conversation around sustainability and the future of farming is gaining real momentum. Whether you’re curious about how an electric tractor could work for your farm or just interested in what’s next for sustainable farming, Fieldays gave us the perfect stage to start that conversation. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event and can’t wait to see even more of you there!
A massive thank you to ASB Bank for hosting us at their site, Mainfreight for helping make this trip possible, and the team at Monarch Tractor for their continuous support. We couldn’t have done it without you.
